Siberian cats appeared in Siberia many centuries ago. Gradually they spread throughout Russia. The Siberian cat breed was registered by the WCF system in 1991, and a little later received registration in TICA.

Siberians rightfully deserve it! They have a lot of advantages.

They are large, beautiful and strong cats. The cold Siberian climate has formed their special appearance: long fluffy hair, which has a 3-layer structure and does not allow the cat to get wet. It is especially beautiful in the cold season. The color of the coat can be very different. The body of Siberian cats is muscular with a strong skeleton. The muzzle is round and pleasant, with an expressive look in the eyes. Siberians can grow up to 3-5 years, only at this age they reach their full prime.

This is a natural aboriginal breed of cats, so Siberians are distinguished by good health, live up to 20 years, are active and playful at any age. To take care of the health of a Siberian, it is enough to vaccinate and deworm as recommended by a veterinarian. They require simple care — combing 2-3 times a week. One of the great advantages of the Siberian breed is that they are recognized as the most hypoallergenic cats. Their saliva contains a small amount of Fel d1 protein, so when licking, little allergen gets on the fur. Therefore, people prone to allergies can touch a Siberian cat and not be afraid of an allergic reaction.

Siberian cats are very smart, quick-witted and easy to train, affectionate lap cats. They love attention and are happy to accept affection from their owners. They will quickly win your hearts and become a beloved friend for your family and children, a sweet companion for an individual.
